Rediscover nature in great style and true to the African safari camp of a past era at the Thula Thula luxury tented camp, where the peaceful essence of the African bush can be heard and felt. Exclusivity is assured with only 8 luxury tents, all with private viewing decks, mosquito nets, fans and luxurious en suite bathrooms that have a Victorian bath and an open air shower in the luxury double tents. The two family tents offer space, luxury, and comforts for parents and children, and the generous en suite bathroom has a Victorian bath and indoors shower. The common areas include a wildlife viewing area where guests can enjoy a cocktail, a refreshing swimming pool that is perfect after a hot game drive, and a relaxing hammock overlooking the Enseleni River.
A buffet lunch is served around the outside thatched bar or by the swimming pool. Dine under the stars in the boma for a traditional South African braai (barbecue) or pojkie (meat & veggie stew cooked in a cast iron pot on an open fire). Here you can share stories from the day's game viewing, or the marvel at the legends of the bush your guides will tell you. Enjoy conversing with the friendly hosts, dedicated rangers and skilled trackers that are at Thula Thula.
Activities that are offered include morning bush walks, afternoon game drives, Sangoma expeditions to the rural Zulu village, game drives in neighboring game reserves, whale watching (June - October), Ste Lucia cruises, therapeutic spa massages, mountain biking, and picnic champagne lunches in the bush.

The Bush House is a rustic eco-lodge that has eleven bungalows for guests to enjoy. It is set in the Toamasina region of Madagascar, close to the Canal des Pangalanes. The idyllic and wild setting has freshwater flowing into the Indian Ocean, creating a unique marine habitat that supports a wide variety of species, including estuarine specialists. Both land and marine natural enthusiasts will have a wonderful time exploring the surrounding areas. The Bush House has remained a pristine wilderness thanks to its remote location. It is an ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the normal tourist routine. Here you can just sit back and enjoy the view from the viewing hill, hike to the crocodile lake, or the nearby sweet water lake, go hiking or kayaking, or marvel at the impressive array of wildlife, including several species of endemic lemurs. The thatched bungalows are constructed using local materials, with simple handcrafted furnishings, amenities for comfort, and a large terrace that overlooks the clear waters of the lake and ocean. Guests can enjoy delicious cuisine with traditional Malagasy, Creole, and French influences.
The remote location can be a bit more involved to get to however. The Bush House is only accessible by boat, helicopter, or 4x4 with a guide--it is well worth it though. Swaying tropical trees and warm ocean breezes woven with the exotic scent of rare orchids will welcome guests to this get away that perfectly blends peacefulness and adventure.
