Situated in an area of lush meadow-like savannah, Mboko Camp is frequented by forest buffalo, forest elephant and spotted hyaena, Mboko gives a sense of the scale of Odzala-Kokoua National Park while also allowing you to focus on some of the smaller details: flowers and butterflies (depending on the season) can be seen in profusion. Parrots and other colorful birds are found in abundance, and can be spotted right from camp.

Mboko Camp's breath-taking views show-off the beautiful interface between the tropical rainforest and grassland savannah where hundreds of towering termite mounds help create an otherworldly experience. Here, you can experience your safari by driving, walking and boating. It also offers access to nearby villages on the fringes of the national park, where you can met and interact with local people.

Twelve canvas cabins are nestled along the Lekoli River in amongst the lush green forest which provides a feeling of privacy. Each cabin has a private deck, en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets and fans. The star deck and firepit near the dinning area is a perfect place to enjoy the sights and sounds of the evening. Right from camp you can watch wildlife as it wanders by grazing in the fertile grassland or investigating the towering termite mounds for food.

There is much to see and do including museum, libraries and archives, churches and a host of German colonial reminders which include some of the town’s most notable landmarks. Different kinds of activities can be done like sky-diving, paragliding, dune-boarding and sand-skiing. On the water you can surf and windsurf, hop on a yacht for the morning, kayak and take a catamaran trip in the company of seals and dolphins.
