With 31 individually styled rooms and suites, 3 swimming pools and its own hammam spa, El Fenn Riad is a unique boutique hotel combining grandeur and historic architecture with hideaway nooks, terraces and gardens - making it the most peaceful place from which to enjoy Africa's most exotic city. Its story began with two friends on the hunt for a small riad to buy as a holiday home. During a two-year renovation, local craftsman used traditional techniques to breathe new life into the building. Polished lime plastering was used in a rainbow of colors to create walls, baths and bed frames, original tiling was renovated and carved cedar ceilings restored. Retro furniture sourced from local flea markets was combined with one-off bespoke pieces to create a unique interior. No two rooms are the same.

Lahia Tented Lodge is strategically located at the top of a hill overlooking Central Serengeti with views towards Western Serengeti, within reach of mythical locations such as the famous kopjes masais, the museum at the Olduvai gorge, Seronera valley and the Grumeti river.
The main house offers a unique panoramic view of the landscape. The building contains lounges, a dining room and a swimming pool. It has been decorated in a modern African style creating a fresh and bright atmosphere - comfortable but with a touch of luxury. Each of the 25 rooms are elegant tents built on raised wood platforms with en-suite facilities and a outdoor shower. After a day on safari guests can enjoy a refreshing shower under the stars.
