Riad Myra is stunning restored sultan's palace that is set in the heart of the city's ancient medina. The atmosphere blends opulent design with a cozy ambiance. Expert craftsmen have refurbished the century-old building, adding modern amenities to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. The decor has been carefully selected to reflect the rich cultural heritage of Morocco. Traditional Moorish design such as elaborate tiled mosaics and delicately carved pillars are set against furnishing taken from the various cultural and political regimes that have influenced and molded Fez. The riad features a series of comfortable and stylish rooms. Each one is uniquely decorated and has its own floor plan. They are all centered around a gorgeous indoor courtyard where guests can dine under a fringe of palms, listening to the gentle bubbling a fountain dappled with rose petals. The elegant splendor of this central courtyard flows effortlessly into the rooms and out into their private terraces. Guests have access to a traditional hammam, an on-site restaurant, and a Moroccan lounge. The restaurant offers delectable dishes that celebrate the exotic flavors and techniques of local cuisine. Additional services available include 24 hour room service, bar service, a digital safe, satellite television, and internet access.
Riad Myra's central location is ideal for exploring the fascinating city. It's a quick walk to local transportation, or the attentive staff can assist you with whatever you needs may be. A selection of stores are set just outside of the riad's entrance, and there is secure parking nearby for those with a car.

The Shira Approach up Mt. Kilimanjaro is a world-famous route that offers both breath-taking scenery and high success rates for reaching the summit. It takes approximately eight days, giving plenty of time to ascend safely and comfortably. Journey through the diverse ecological zones that terrace the 19,341 feet of Kilimanjaro's height. You start out in the lush rainforests dotted with coffee farms, then break out into heather covered hills. Next is the moorlands before traversing to the great saddle of the alpine desert. All along these ecological zones you will experience the specific climates that have given rise the to unique flora and fauna that inhabit the slopes of Kilimanjaro. The final ecological zone, aptly called the Arctic Zone, offers lunar landscapes, impressive views, and bizzare volcanic formations. After reaching the summit, you can take in the sunrise like never before. The descent is much faster, taking only a few days. Once back through the rainforest, you will enjoy a celebratory lunch to say good-bye to your fellow trekkers and your trusty porters.
